EMDR Consultation

EMDR Consultation

The practice of EMDR requires curiosity, a commitment to learning, and adaptability – qualities that inspire me both professionally and personally.

As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, I provide consultation for therapists at various stages of their EMDR journey. Whether you are currently completing EMDR basic training, pursuing EMDRIA Certification, are a Consultant in Training, or are seeking ongoing support in your EMDR practice, consultation can provide the support needed to nuture learning, growth, and developing greater confidence in your work.

My goal is to help clinicians strengthen their understanding of the EMDR model, deepen their case conceptualization skills, and build confidence in applying EMDR with a wide range of clients. Consultation offers an opportunity to explore questions, discuss challenging cases, and further develop your skills as an EMDR therapist.

My Consultation Approach

I view consultation as a collaborative process that emphasizes support, understanding, and the thoughtful adaptation of the EMDR model to meet the unique needs of each client. I strive to create a consultation environment where therapists feel comfortable asking questions, discussing challenges, and exploring cases openly. My goal is to provide consultation that is constructive, practical, and engaging while helping clinicians develop a deeper understanding of how to apply clinical judgement when adapting the EMDR model beyond its foundational principles.

Consultation provides an opportunity to slow down, think critically about your cases, and explore the nuances of EMDR practice. Whether you are looking for guidance with case conceptualization, treatment planning, target selection, protocol adaptations, or navigating challenges that arise during processing, consultation can help you develop greater clarity and confidence in your clinical decision-making.

Together, we can explore clinical questions, strengthen your understanding of the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, and develop strategies for working with a wide range of client presentations, including complex trauma, dissociation, and blocking beliefs.
